WITS is The Center for Sexual Assault Survivors' largest fundraiser of the year.
It is a walk of solidarity to show survivors that we believe you & we support you, no matter who you are or what your story.
It's a march to bring awareness of these issues to our community and to give hope and resources on how we can end sexual violence together
DUE TO COVID-19, WALK IN THEIR SHOES 2020 IS CANCELLED FOR THIS YEAR.
Peninsula Town Center

As you may be aware, we've hosted many successful Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® events over the years. 2019 was the first year we branched out to create our own event.
Sexual violence is an issue that affects all groups of people from all walks of life. We want our event to be reflective of that diversity.
That's why 2020 will be our 2nd annual Walk in THEIR Shoes!
Walk, run, skip, or roll your way down the path to the finish line.
Wear shoes that represent the survivor(s) you're marching for.
Coordinate with your teammates to wear the most fabulous uniforms.
Create impactful posters
Inspire others to donate to your team and compete for a top fundraiser trophy.
Enter raffle drawings to win amazing prizes donated by our community partners!
Live DJ, dancing, and yoga to warm up before the walk begins!
An experience for the whole family: character cameos, games and activities to educate people of all ages.
Take steps to end rape, sexual assault and gender-based violence in your community. Spend the morning with us and find out just how great an impact your support can make.
Even if you are not able to physically walk with us, there is an opportunity to participate in a virtual walk. All you need to do is register on CrowdRise and let us know that you want to walk virtually by sending an email to info@VisitTheCenter.org or giving us a call at 757-599-9844. We'll then provide you with a link to the virtual walk. With the virtual walk you will still be able to create teams, raise money, and track your progress. It’s really that easy!
