Completing an internship with The Center will give you valuable experience in working with victims of domestic and sexual violence, as well as a greater awareness of community resources available in the area. You will receive hands on experience working with diverse populations such as clients, law enforcement, health care providers, faith community leaders and others. More importantly, you will complete your internship knowing that you have made a difference in working to reduce and eliminate sexual violence in our community.
· Complete and pass a criminal background check
· Submit a volunteer application (please apply below) and interview with a Center staff member
· Attend and complete a 32-hour training on sexual violence
· Complete one 24hr shift of crisis hotline advocacy per week (or two 12hr shifts)
