| The Center has been a part of this Hampton Roads Community since 1996. It is a private, non-profit organization that provides services to individuals whose lives have been disrupted by sexual assault. All services are confidential and free of charge. The Center is funded by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, and Social Services. The Center also receives funding from the United Way (designation 5084), the Combined Virginia Campaign (designation 3076), as well as fund-raisers and private donations.
